If your toothbrush is awkward to turn near your back teeth, head size is a useful starting point for your next purchase. Atomy’s standard and compact toothbrushes are both listed in packs of eight in Korea. The compact version is presented as having a smaller head, rather than simply fewer brushes in the pack.
Atomy describes that compact head using the approximate size of two adult molars. Treat this as a description of the design, not an exact measurement of your teeth or an age rule.
Match the change to a specific difficulty
You do not need to replace a comfortable standard brush merely because another version is smaller. A useful reason to compare the compact model is that you find it difficult to position your current brush at the back of your mouth.
Think about comfortable movement, not how forcefully you can press. Persistent pain or gum problems need advice from a dentist; changing head size is not a diagnosis or treatment.
The handle matters too. Look at the whole brush rather than only a magnified picture of the bristles. Consider your grip with wet hands and whether the brush fits your usual holder. A product that is awkward to hold or store may remain inconvenient despite a promising head shape.
What the gold-powder description tells you
Both Korean product pages describe fine bristles containing gold powder. The purity figure attached to that ingredient does not describe the composition of the entire toothbrush.
The official test explanation also limits its antibacterial results to the test conditions. It does not claim removal of every bacterium or prevention of disease. The feature is not a reason to skip ordinary cleaning and storage of the brush.
Buying a pack for a family
Eight brushes is the purchase quantity, not a promise that one head size suits eight people. Different family members may prefer different sizes.
For a simple comparison, write down the actual problem you want to solve: for example, “easier positioning at the back,” rather than “buy the best toothbrush.” Then judge head size, grip and storage against that task. Keep each person’s brush separate.
